"This guideline will help Labour Program (LP) industrial hygiene specialists, employers, and industrial hygiene consultants in interpreting the sampling requirement regulations and in taking samples for compliance with Part X of the Canada Occupational Health and Safety Regulations (COHSR), “Hazardous Substances”. This procedure should be used when measurements of airborne chemical concentrations in federally regulated work places are taken by a qualified person to verify compliance regarding worker exposure to a chemical agent as per the requirements in Part X of the COHSR “Hazardous Substances”. Following this procedure will ensure a uniform approach and yield consistent results”--p. 1.
