Impact evaluation of the Health Transition Fund : final report.: H14-192/2005E-PDF

The Departmental Program Evaluation Division of Health Canada issued an RFP to evaluate the impact of the Health Transition Fund. It was intended that the evaluation would determine whether the HTF had achieved what had been expected. The results are of interest to decision-makers in government, health organizations front line workers, researchers and the general public - in part - because the HTF had far reaching effects on all these stakeholders. The Health Transition Fund (HTF) supported 141 projects across Canada between 1997 and 2001 to test and evaluate innovative ways to deliver health care services. The $150 million dollar fund was a collaborative effort among federal, provincial and territorial governments designed to provide projects support that would generate evidence that governments, healthcare providers, researchers and others could use to make informed decisions that would lead to a more integrated health care system. ...
