This formative review of the Research Management and Dissemination Division (RMDD) was conducted by the Departmental Program Evaluation Division (DPED) with the cooperation of the management and staff of RMDD. Information for this review was collected between September 2003 and April 2004. RMDD was established in April 2001, under the scope of the Applied Research and Analysis Directorate (ARAD), which is part of the Information, Analysis and Connectivity Branch (IACB) in Health Canada. RMDD was created to fulfill Health Canada’s need for mandate focussed research and analysis that supports policy-making and program design and delivery.
