"Health Canada’s Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA), under the authority of the Pest Control Products Act and Regulations, is granting full registration for the sale and use of Confidor 200 SL (Registration Number 29703), containing the active ingredient imidacloprid, in the form of Bay NTN 33893 Technical Insecticide (Registration Number 24468). Confidor is intended for systemic control of insect pests on deciduous and coniferous trees. This decision is consistent with the Proposed Registration Decision PRD2016-16, Imidacloprid, which contains a detailed evaluation of the information submitted in support of this registration. The evaluation found that, under the approved conditions of use, the products have value and do not present an unacceptable risk to human health or the environment. The PMRA received no comments on PRD2016-16, Imidacloprid"--p.1.
