Conversion of railway freight traffic, 1961, to Standard Commodity Classification .: CS52-502/1963E-PDF

Revenue freight traffic statistics for 1961, published earlier in conformity with the "Canadian Freight Commodity Statistics Classification", are summarized herein on the basis of the revised "Standard Commodity Classification" of the Dominion Bureau of Statistics. This supplement, which shows Canada totals only, will enable comparisons with freight movements by other modes of transport as well as with other commodity data now being released by the Dominion Bureau of Statistics in accordance with the Standard Classification.
