"Being a 'forced' crop, cucumbers are especially sensitive to the highly artificial conditions under which they are grown. As a result, it is seldom that a crop can be harvested without some loss being experienced from diseaseor other cause. This bulletin describes various troubles encountered in forcing cucumbers, and suggests control measures which have proved successful in the culture of this crop"--p. 3.
