“These Proceedings summarize the relevant discussions and key conclusions that resulted from a Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) Canadian Science Advisory Secretariat (CSAS) Regional Peer Review (RPR) meeting that took place June 6-7, 2016 at the Vancouver Island Convention Centre in Nanaimo, B.C. Two working papers focusing on the review and evaluation of fishing-related incidental mortality for Pacific salmon were presented for peer review. The conclusions and advice resulting from this review will be provided in the form of a Science Advisory Report providing advice to Fisheries Management to inform future processes to derive and/or modify fishing-related incidental mortality estimates for use in the assessment and management of Pacific salmon fisheries.
