This life histories study focuses on the life experiences of three generations of an extended Micmac family living in (or near) Big Cove, New Brunswick. Three of the participants are Micmac (an elder, Michael W. Francis, age 70 in 1993; his nephew, Luke Simon, age 38; and his grandson, Peter 'Cory' Augustine, age 19). The fourth is non-Aboriginal (the elder's stepson, Forrest Carter, age 28).
