The impact of major resource development projects on Aboriginal communities : a review of the literature / prepared for the Royal Commission on Aboriginal Peoples by David DesBrisay.: Z1-1991/1-41-50E-PDF
“This paper will review the literature concerning the impacts of major resource development projects on Aboriginal communities. Although the paper will discuss some of the limitations to the literature, its intention is not to provide a critical review, or to identify a direction for future research in impact assessment. Rather, the paper will explore the apparent contradictions in the relationship between resource projects and Aboriginal communities. The review will make generalizations about the relationship where possible, but will also show that the relationship is a diverse and evolving one”--Intro., p. [11].
