"This policy and practice report (“Report”) provides an overview of the Department of Fisheries and Oceans’ (“DFO” or the “Department”) policies and practices with respect to recreational fishing for salmon, in particular sockeye salmon, in the province of British Columbia. This Report relies principally on information obtained from documents disclosed to the commission or otherwise made available during the commission’s investigations. The accuracy of this report is contingent on the accuracy of those documents."--p. 3.
