Population of Canada, 1931, by racial origins .CS98-1931B-22-PDF

"This Bulletin classifies the population enumerated in the Seventh Census of Canada according to racial origin, and is the first of a series dealing with the grouping of the people by races, nationalities, birthplace of person and birthplace of parents; the latter will distinguish Canadians of more than two generations' family residence in Canada. Table 1 gives the origins of the people as of June 1st, 1931 for the country as a whole and for each province by sex. In Tables 1, 2 and 4 the ethnic stocks of smaller numerical importance are given in detail, in Table 3 they are grouped under the general term 'Unspecified and others'"--p. 3.
