"This Bulletin, the 40th of the series, deals with the Census of Population of cities of 100,000 population and over as reported in the Seventh Census of Canada, 1931. There are seven cities in Canada which come under this population category, as follows: Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, Winnipeg, Hamilton, Quebec and Ottawa. Owing to the number of wards (35) in Montreal, it was accorded a separate bulletin (XXXVIII)"--p. [1].
