"The Census of the Prairie Provinces of Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta was taken as of June 1, 1936. Reports, each in two parts, have already been published for each of the three provinces separately and have now been consolidated into two volumes in order to present in permanent form the results for the Prairie Provinces as a whole. Volume I deals with Population and Agriculture ... Volume II, 'Occupations, unemployment, earnings and employment, households and families' is concerned with what are broadly described as Social Statistics"--Preface, Vol. 2, p. v.
