Flooding from the July 18-21, 1996 rainstorm in the Saguenay area, Quebec : fluvial geomorphic effects and slope stability along selected major river reaches / G.R. Brooks ... [et al.].: M183-2/3498E-PDF
"This manuscript is a contracted report prepared for Emergency Preparedness Canada. It provides a summary of the fluvial geomorphic effects of the flooding along severely impacted sections of five rivers in the Saguenay area caused by the July 18-21, 1996 rainstorm, and a general assessment of slope stability problems along the river banks. The text is primarily descriptive and supplemented by maps and a large number of photographs. It is intended that a more detailed and quantitative analysis of the geomorphic effects of the flooding will be released in subsequent report(s). This workrepresents a contribution from the Eastern Canadian Geological Processes and Hazards Project, Terrain Sciences Division, done in cooperation with Canada Centre for Remote Sensing and GSC Quebec”--Preface, p. 3.
