"Undoubtedly, there is a need for better maps and charts touching on the various analyses of the population than, up to the present, have been offered to the public; such maps and charts are becoming more and more indispensable to realistic studies of population problems. The present Census Atlas has been compiled to meet this need. It is the first really comprehensive census atlas ever published in Canada"--Pref.
