Evaluation of the Aboriginal Research Pilot Program : final report.: CR22-69/2008E-PDF

"The purpose of the evaluation reported here is to provide appropriate, timely and useful information to facilitate upcoming discussions about the renewal of the program. The evaluation was guided by an Advisory Committee composed of Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal scholars and SSHRC staff. Given the timing of the evaluation, conducted before many of the grants have been completed, it focuses on program design and processes, program outputs and short-term outcomes, and overall relevance. The outcomes examined include: development of Aboriginal research capacity, equity in support to Aboriginal research, development of community capacity for Aboriginal research, and engagement with indigenous knowledge"--Executive Summary, p. 3.
