"The figures presented herewith constitute an analysis of the data obtained from two questions on internal migration asked for the first time in Canada in the Census of 1941, (1) years of continuous residence in province of present residence, (2) years of continuous residence in province of last permanent residence. The questions were considered pertinent in 1941 because of the great amount of internal migration which took place during the thirties and which increased notably in the war years"--p. [1]
