Audit of internal governance / Corporate Internal Audit Division.: CR22-79/2012E-PDF

"The Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) was created by an act of Parliament in 1977 and reports to Parliament through the Minister of Industry. Its mandate is two-fold: to promote and support research and scholarship in the social sciences and humanities, and to advise the Minister of Industry on issues related to social sciences and humanities research. SSHRC’s internal governance structure is composed of seven key committees. Within this structure, there are three senior management-level committees and four committees that are more operational in focus. The committees serve a number of purposes, ranging from decision-making to advising senior management and sharing information."--Executive Summary.
