"In October 2000, the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council and the National Archivist of Canada established a Working Group of research and archival experts and asked them to assess the need for a national research data access, preservation and management system. After compiling extensive evidence for the need of such a service to support the knowledge creation work of Canada’s social sciences and humanities research community, the Working Group now offers recommendations for the creation of a new national research data archival service."--Executive Summary.
