Statement on education .: R5-147/1973-PDF
"The report on Indian and Eskimo education tabled by the Standing Committee of Indian Affairs and Northern Development in June, 1971, has been a positive and constructive force in the changing direction of policies and programs in native education. The report was based on numerous discussions, interviews and investigations and contained comments by educators, Indian leaders and public officials. In its recommendations the report identified and singled out certain areas in education which are of major concern to the native people in this country."--p. 2.
