Management Improvement Project, Task 6.2 : band services profile / James Ovens.: R5-170/1981E-PDF
"Management Improvement Project Task 6.2 is a survey of 592 Indian bands and Inuit communities which identifies the management of each discrete service provided by the Department, the Departmental accountability for each service, and sources of technical and advisory support. The Task also examines the relationship of bands to the Department at different levels, and the roles of tribal and district councils, provinces and other agencies such as schoolboards. In so doing, it addresses planning and control problems identified by the Auditor General relating to transfers of programs to Indian bands by documenting in a comprehensive manner the degree to which services of the Indian and Inuit Program have already been transferred to Indian Administration."--Executive Summary.
