"This method describes a procedure for measuring the penetration of water through fabrics, with the fabric under constant water pressure. It is primarily applicable to heavily proofed fabrics used in tarpaulins, tentage and vehicle covers. The test is carried out using a head of water considered to represent conditions in excess of those likely to be experienced in service"--Purpose and Scope.
