5203 |a"The study of nonresponse trends and reasons for it leads to a better understanding of the phenomenon thereby facilitating the identification of remedial measures to control or reduce it. In this paper these trends are examined for several household surveys. Components, seasonal patterns, and longitudinal evolution of nonresponse for the Labour Force Survey (LFS) are analyzed. The annual nonresponse rates for LFS and other households surveys are compared and possible explanations for these differences are presented. Some of the current research activities at Statistics Canada on this topic are described"--Abstract.
