The purpose of the study was to: examine recent trends in Correctional Service of Canada's sexoffender population by comparing the profile of sex offenders over two time periods - 2010 and 2014, provide an updated descriptive profile of the sex offender population as of February 2014, and compare a 2010 cohort of sex offenders to non-sex offenders in their profiles and release outcomes.
