Re-evaluation project plan for copper thiocyanate .: H113-5/2017-16E-PDF
"In Canada, copper thiocyanate is under re-evaluation by Health Canada’s Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA). PMRA re-evaluates registered pesticides to determine whether the use of these products continues to be acceptable in terms of value, human health, and the environment according to current standards. Copper thiocyanate is registered for use as an antifouling paint for use on boats. It can be used on aluminum, fibreglass, wood, steel, and lead below the true waterline in fresh, salt, and brackish water. This includes underwater metals such as shafts, propellers, trim tabs, struts and thru-hull fittings. Application is by spraying (commercial product) or by brush or roller (domestic product). This project plan for the re-evaluation of copper thiocyanate outlines the timeline for review, and summarizes the anticipated area(s) of focus for the risk assessments"--Background, p. 1.
