"The sections to follow will discuss the different stages of the seasonal adjustment process. Section 2 describes how the length of the series was determined. Section 3 deals with the problem of the treatment of outliers. In Section 4, a set of statistics is presented which served as a basis for the assessment of seasonal adjustment quality. Based on these statistics, recommendations are made regarding which series should be seasonally adjusted. Finally, Section 5 concludes the study"--Introduction, p. 2.
