"The present study has been designed, (1) to find out the existing size, structure, and composition of population in the North in order to provide a basis for future projections, and, (2) to project the general population, and also the number of school-age children up to 1970. For the purpose of this study, children aged 6 to 16 are considered as school-age group"--p. 1-2.
