The historical background of Indian reserves and settlements in the Province of Quebec / by Larry Villeneuve ; revised and updated by Daniel Francis for Research Branch, Indian and Northern Affairs Canada.: R5-311/1984E-PDF
"This report presents a comprehensive historical review of Indian reserves in the province of Quebec. It is expected that such a review will be of use to researchers and Indian organizations. The first section places reserve policy in the context of Indian policy generally as it developed in Quebec. The next section includes a brief historical account of the creation of each of the various reserves. The final section presents in greater detail the history of three reserves which have been characterized by longstanding disputes over land title."--Introduction.
