"Bill Schroeder has been the lead researcher at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) and is recognized as the North American expert on seabuckthorn. His breeding program has focused on improving yield, fruit characteristics, harvest efficiency and thornlessness. He has worked with this crop for almost 30 years and over this time has released eight high-yield cultivars that are extremely hardy and adapted to cold, semi-arid continental climates.
