An automated system for continuous monitoring of SO2, NO2 and NOx in boiler flue gas / R.K. Jeffrey and G.K. Lee, Fuels Research Centre.: M34-20/131E-PDF
“This report describes an automated system for continuously sampling, analyzing and recording SO2, NO2 and NOx levels in combustion products such as boiler flue gas. The system employs three parallel-connected, automated wet-chemical analyzers for monitoring each pollutant simultaneously and selectively. Each analyzer is supplied with a clean, moisture-free stream of flue gas which has been accurately diluted and blended with nitrogen to suit the concentration range of the selected methodologies. Response time between sample inlet and readout is 20 min for SO2 and 7 min for both NO2 and NOx. During the past two years, the system has been used to monitor a wide range of combustion research experiments with a high degree of reliability, precision and accuracy"--Abstract, p. i.
