520 | 3 |a"The National Longitudinal Survey of Children and Youth (NLSCY) is a longitudinal survey of Canadian children conducted by Statistics Canada. Introduced in the mid-nineties, it is one of the first longitudinal surveys conducted by the Agency. Over the last two years, a team of methodologists have undertaken a major revision of NLSCY's weighting strategy after evidence of bias surfaced and deficiencies in its implementation were noted. Along the way, many lessons were learned on how to conduct the weighting of a longitudinal survey. Moreover, innovations were introduced to address some of the issues raised.
