An overview of registered Indian conditions in Ontario / by Katherine Graham under the direction of N.H. Lithwick, Lithwick Rothman Schiff Associates Ltd.: R5-393/7-1986E-PDF
"This report provides a profile of registered Indians in Ontario and the conditions in which they live. It does not deal with the extent to which the patterns which emerge for registered Indians in Ontario might be replicated among the non-status Indian, Métis or Inuit populations in the province. Exclusion of these other Native peoples from consideration is not meant to imply that their situation is any better or worse than that of registered Indians in Ontario. Rather, the focus is on registered Indians because of the particular jurisdictional interests and responsibilities of Indian and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC) in relation to this population."--Report Overview, p. 1.
