"The data in the present Abstract of Empire Trade have been compiled for the use of the Imperial Economic Conference, 1932. According to the latest complete statistics available, viz.: 1930, the British Empire transacts from 28 to 29 per cent of the total trade of the world, the proportion for import trade amounting to about 30 per cent, and of export trade to about 26 per cent"--Foreword.
