Special investigation - Manitoba Region : departmental response.: R5-438/1986E-PDF
"In late March 1986, the Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development commissioned a special investigation of the Manitoba region. The Minister initiated the study in response to serious allegations, regarding program administration and financial operations, made by the Brotherhood of First Nations (B.F.N.). The study was carried out by the firm of Ward Mallette, Chartered Accountants. The attached Departmental Response is an analysis of the findings of the Ward Mallette report undertaken by Indian and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC). It identifies the problems and their causes, as well as outlining the corrective action already taken and the further actions still required."--Introduction.
