"The objective of the audit project was to determine whether the monitoring and control mechanisms in place for travel, hospitality, conference and event (THCE) expenditures are adequate and whether expenditures are incurred in accordance with the Treasury Board Secretariat (TBS) Directive on THCE Expenditures, the National Joint Council (NJC) Travel Directive and the Financial Administration Act (FAA). Overall, the monitoring and control mechanisms in place for travel, hospitality, conference and event expenditures are adequate and the expenditures incurred are in accordance with the TBS Directive on THCE Expenditures, the National Joint Council Travel Directive and the Financial Administration Act"--Summary, p. 5.
