"The present publication represents a further stage in the improvement and extension of Canada's National Accounts. It consolidates and brings up-to-date the work on the annual data which has been carried out since 1951 when the historical series were first published in National Accounts, Income and Expenditure, 1926-1950. The present report supersedes all previous publications on National Accounts issued by the Dominion Bureau of Statistics"--Foreword.
