"In December 1985, members of the Executive Management Group agreed that the following objectives should guide departmental communications activities during the 1986/87 fiscal year: Promote public awareness of government policies and processes ; Support the Minister's native policies and priorities; Advise and support program managers on the most effective communications strategies for implementing the above."--Communications Objectives, p. 2.
