"On March 22, 1990, chief negotiators for the Labrador Inuit, Newfoundland and Canada initialled a Framework Agreement to govern the Labrador Inuit comprehensive land claim negotiations. The Framework Agreement sets out the scope, process, topics, parameters, and the order and timeframe for negotiations to reach a comprehensive land claim settlement. The ratification of this agreement by all three parties means that negotiations towards an Agreement-in-Principle can begin."--p. 1.
