Canada, the provinces and the territories : a statistical profile / Small Area Data Program = Profil statistique du Canada, des provinces et des territoires / Programme de données régionales.: CS17-501/1985-PDF

“The provinces and territories of Canada differ in resource endowment, land use patterns, populations and population densities. Their economies, industrial structures, growth rates and sources of employment vary. The nature and composition of their labour force, the level and distribution of income, patterns of personal expenditure and price levels are dissimilar. Their social characteristics, patterns of education, health and housing have similarities and differences. This statistical profile brings together a selection of data and Indicators of status, structure and change which illustrate some aspects of this diversity. The data and indicators provide an overview or statistical summary of demographic, economic and social conditions in Canada. In each of the provinces and, to the extent possible, in the territories”--Introd., p. 5.
