Shopping centres in Canada, 1951-1973 / Statistics Canada, Merchandising and Services Division = Les centres commerciaux au Canada, 1951-1973 / Statistique Canada, Division du commerce et des services.: CS63-527/1976-PDF
“This research paper is one of a series of reports to be published by Statistics Canada during the next few years. This series will describe and analyse those key elements in Canada's distributional system which have had the greatest impact on its citizens in the performance of their activities as producers and consumers of the goods and services which flow through that system. This first report examines the development of shopping centres in Canada during the period 1951-1973. All the data contained in the various tables in this study were derived directly from various Statistics Canada publications. Other sources of information which have been utilized as necessary components of the research programme include interviews with individuals and organizations; perusal of trade journals and magazines; and attendance at seminars related to the subject of shopping centre operation"--Preface, p.
