Analytical reference materials. Part VI. Development and certification of a sediment reference material for selected polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons / by Hing-Biu Lee, Geeta Dookhran and Alfred S.Y....: En13-5/85-119E-PDF

"The Quality Assurance and Methods Section has developed and certified a new certified reference material (CRM) for polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH). Such compounds are important toxic contaminants and are also classified as US EPA priority pollutants. Previous interlaboratoriy data showed wide disparity in PAH results, indicating that there was a need to improve on and monitor the quality of these data. The development of this CRM for quality assurance applications will be invaluable in all future analytical measurment of PAH"--Management perspective.
