Survey sampling : a non-mathematical guide / by A. Satin and W. Shastry.: CS12-602/1993E-PDF
"During the last few years, Statistics Canada has been giving workshops on survey sampling in various cities across Canada. The manual is a basic guide on survey sampling for those with little or no formal training in mathematical statistics which is largely patterned after these workshops. It is intended to explain the fundamental concepts and methods of survey sampling by way of examples and illustrations rather than by theory and algebraic expressions. This second edition of the manual has been expanded to include a chapter on sampling methods for telephone surveys in light of the growing prominence of these types of surveys in Canada. As well, this edition includes the complete set of problems and possible solutions used in the survey sampling workshops"--Preface.
