As well, the use of standard CATI/CAPI packages must be balanced with meeting custom survey requirements. To help meet these two related yet sometimes conflicting objectives, a standard set of two survey models and an evaluation criteria has been constructed. The models are hypothetical surveys that emulate questionnaire design and data collection requirements, for business surveys and for social surveys. These tools test the capabilities of a new product. This paper describes the uses made of the methodology to date and the conclusions drawn from the evaluations"--Abstract.
