"The Labour Force Survey (LFS) is designed to provide a monthly snapshot of the Canadian labour market. The LFS frame and systems are also used by most household surveys conducted by Statistics Canada. This results in greatly reduced costs for these surveys since development of sample selection systems and data collection programs is carried out in an integrated fashion"--Introduction.
