"In the late 19th century, birds were so numerous that they darkened the sky on migration. However, three species disappeared in Canada, triggering a conservation movement that led to the adoption of the Migratory Birds Convention Act. 2017 marks the 100th anniversary of this act. To celebrate this centennial, one hundred bird enthusiasts have accepted the challenge of telling us, in one hundred words, about their love of birds.
