“This publication introduces a second special purpose wholesale price index related to the construction industry, titled "Non-Residential Building Materials Price Index." It replaces a series known as the General Building Materials Price Index, and supplements a residential index which has been available for some years. It has been constructed specifically to measure the price change of materials used in non-residential building construction”--Preface, p. [3].
