Wholesale price indexes, 1913-1950 (1935-1939=100) / prepared in the Prices Section, Labour and Prices Division.: CS62-D/102-1951E-PDF
“This reference paper introduces a new series of wholesale price index numbers related to the base period 1935-1939. The period 1935-1939 was selected some years ago as a standard reference level for Dominion Bureau of Statistics index number series. Unusual demands upon the Prices Section during the war and post-war periods have meant repeated interruptions in the project, so that 1935-1939 is already rather a remote base period. However, for reasons outlined in the introductory section, it seemed worthwhile to continue with the original idea of changing to the 1935-1939 base, even at this time when post-war base periods are being considered”--Preface, p. [1].
