"A review has been made of literature related to physical effects of river diversion, in particular the effects on river regime. The possible effects of diversions on the receiving and donor streams are discussed and methods which are presently available for predicting some of these effects are briefly outlined. Research needs which are required to produce satisfactory prediction methods are discussed. A list of annotated bibliography of diversion-related literature is included with this report"--Abstract, p. i.
