“This booklet of Instructions and Definitions is to be used as a guide by hospitals in completing the Annual Return of Hospitals, Form HS-1 - Facilities and Services. A separate booklet has been prepared for Form HS-2 - Financial Return. In accordance with section 32 of the Statistics Act, Form HS-1 is to be completed by all public, private, and federal hospitals in Canada, regardless of the hospital's status under the federal-provincial hospital insurance program”--P. [2, 4].
