"With encouragement and assistance by the Department, the Kehewin Indian Band has become increasingly interested in community planning and the management of community development works on their Reserve. Early in 1973, they expressed their wish to make their own arrangements for the design and construction of a new community education centre on the Kehewin Indian Reserve and, with Treasury Board authority, an agreement to transfer the funds was reached for them to plan and implement the project. The construction of the building was completed in the summer of 1975"--Executive summary.
